Welcome to the Locked Room! Here’s where you can find me talking about pretty much anything I can think of, from Aspergers to… well, I guess I could say ‘zebras’, but I don’t think I could come up with much on that topic. (Question. Are they black with white stripes, or white with black stripes?) If you want to learn more, well, that’s why there’s an ‘About’ page, silly!
Well, here’s where I give you the down-low on things, right? Ahem. Here goes nothing.
Hi, I’m Locked Girl! Obviously, that’s not my real name, but it’s what you get to know me as. I happen to have been blessed with something that is known as ‘Aspergers Syndrome’, a neurological condition and subset of autism(you might hear it called ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder’) that basically means I don’t fully understand how normal people work, especially in terms of socializing. This little blog is essentially a chronicle of life in my shoes, from the triumphs(I finally have a classmate with Aspergers and it is the best thing ever) to the trials(little things that I like to call #weirdworldproblems, like telephone conversations–oh gosh, the telephone conversations).
In short, it is an outpouring of myself into the world. (I hope the world is ready.)
Fasten your seatbelts, folks, and please keep your hands inside the vehicle, I don’t like being touched. From here on out, things are going to get weird.
